My main research areas are descriptive and historical linguistics of the Ryukyuan languages and of Japanese. I also have a general interest in both historical-comparative linguistics and typology.
My PhD dissertation (2009) is a description of the Ōgami dialect of Miyako Ryukyuan, an endangered Southern Ryukyuan language.
You can access my publications and my dissertation at the on-line archive HAL.
